The concept is to "re-start" your body nutritionally - back to the basics - using whole foods and water. Start each day with a big glass of water with Stardust 2 Hydr8 in it. As soon as you start to feel a little hungry, take a small handful of one of the snack foods that you have 7 bags of.
Next, take a little bit of the food out of your hand, pop it in your mouth, and chew it up slowly and thoroughly (25-30 times) to aid in the digestive process, and so you can taste and savor these nutrient-dense raw whole foods. Keep eating/snacking and drinking water until you are satisfied, not until you are full, but until you are satisfied. You may eat the foods in any order you prefer, but it's probably better not to eat all of one kind before you start on another. Mix them up for variety. Your eating/snacking should not be rushed - take a little time, sit down, eat/snack on the foods, chewing them slowly and thoroughly.
From there, anytime throughout the day you feel hungry, repeat that same process - in fact, we recommend eating/snacking at least every 90 minutes throughout the day, although it's fine to do it more often if you like. It is important to eat slowly and to pay attention to your body - when your stomach lets you know your are satisfied - stop eating. Remember, these foods are very dense in nutrition. The natural fibers in whole foods tend to expand for 30 minutes up to one hour after eating them. Take care not to eat too much – start with smaller amounts and then gradually increase if necessary.
Then at the end of the day, sometime before you go to bed, have a serving of DetoxiPhi. Mix 2 slightly rounded tablespoons of DetoxiPhi with 10-12 oz of water, and drink it fairly quick because it tends to thicken. This doesn't hurt it, but if it gets thick as you get to the bottom of the glass it gets harder to drink. If this happens, you can add more water, stir, and drink, or even use a spoon to finish it.
Add the Stardust 2 Hydr8 to your water (one teaspoon per gallon) and drink at least 8 large glasses per day. Sports nutrition experts recommend eating from two to three hours before game time. For morning games, that means getting up early enough to eat two hours before game time. For events in the early to mid-afternoon, breakfast and lunch are important. For late-afternoon games add a light afternoon snack and for evening games, all of these meals plus an early light supper is recommended.
Oily, greasy fast foods such as burgers, fries, chips, or pizza can take up to three hours to digest so it’s best to choose healthy, nutrient-dense whole foods. You might also include 100% fruit juice or some fruit such as applesauce, an apple, some grapes, or a banana. It’s also a good idea to provide a modest amount of low-fat protein in pre-game meals. For vegetarian families, whole grains, legumes, soy products, and nuts and seeds are great protein sources. Other good choices include fat free or low-fat milk or yogurt, one egg, or a sandwich on whole grain bread made with a quality lean meat.
An equally important part of pre-game nutrition is drinking enough fluid. Dehydration is uncomfortable, hampers performance and in extreme cases, can be dangerous. Pre-game meals should include one or two cups of water. Then, about 30 minutes before the activity, youths should drink one to two cups of cool water to arrive fully hydrated.
It’s best to avoid sodas, energy drinks and other high-sugar drinks right before the event because the high sugar content can cause stomach cramps and nausea during strenuous game activity. Outside of sports time, the preferred beverage to relieve and prevent thirst is water as well. Some parents find it helpful to mark lines on kids’ drink bottles as a guide to help them drink enough throughout the game or practice. By half-time, for example, they should have consumed half of their water. Some professionals recommend weighing your child before and after a sports event. Weight lost in such a short time is fluid loss, and your child can re-hydrate by drinking one cup of water for every half-pound lost. Weighing also helps you learn how much fluid is needed for your young athletes to stay properly hydrated.
